Late Edo period chest of drawers for sewing
About the Item
This is a beautifully worn late Edo period small chest of drawers for sewing. Made of Cedar with iron handle and hinge. The whole look is rustic, blackened and simple, with refined details like the top is foldable with a candle holder revealed at the same time to suit situ accordingly.
Drawers move smoothly and have been cleaned and fumigated. Very rare in its mechanic and is a real piece of art both aesthetically and functionally.
