1960s Italian Murano Golden Inclusion Clear Glass Bowl, Candy Dish or Ashtray
About the Item
1960s Italian Murano glass bowl or dish formerly known as an ashtray. Handblown in gold and clear glass with gold inclusions circling over the whole exterior which grow larger towards the edge. A circular rose bud shape has been blown into the glass alongside where the edge has been curled over to create a space for the cigarette to sit when it was not being smoked. Overall the bowl is in good vintage condition however there is a small chip where the rose curls to form the bud which is only noticeable to the touch. Some small scratches to the base. There are no signs that it was ever used as an ashtray.
A beautiful statement piece for any living room occasional table perhaps to hold sweets or candy.
