19th C. English Mason’s Ironstone Imari Style Deep Blue Bowl with Gilt Flowers

About the Item

19th Century English Mason’s ironstone imari style deep blue bowl with gilt flower decoration. Superb ironstone bowl hand painted with bold enamels of Cobalt Blue, burnt orange and strong applied gilded highlights. This bowl was made by Mason’s during the early part of the 19th century. An exquisite pattern in Japanese Imari style with rich floral decoration animates the inside. The bowl has a scalloped rim and gilded handles. This early, rare Mason’s ironstone bowl, with refined gilt and colored decoration, is a remarkable collector piece. Measurements: L 11” x W 7” x H 5” Weight: 3 lbs. 8oz.
