About the Item
Danish midcentury amorphic dish / wall decor by Marianne Starck for Michael Andersen & Søn (MA&S). Designed and made circa 1960s.
It depicts a hand painted rooster motif with Persia glaze in blue, red and grey.
The Persia technique is a special craquelee technique developed at Michael Andersen & Søn by Daniel Andersen in the 1930s. They won a Gold Medal for this at the World´s Fair in Brussel in 1935.
Fully marked on bottom with MA&S backstamp, model number and MS (for Marianne Starck). Wears original MA&S papersticker.
