About the Item
Circa 1880s, Japan. This late 19th-century Japanese box features a stunning floral scene primarily of morning glories. The enamel work is superb with delicate colors and a combination of Cloisonné & Champlevé work. The box is bronze and copper with lovely details in the metalwork. Excellent condition.
Remark: “Morning glories are a favorite of mine.”
