About the Item

A set with seven sizes of candle holders in brass. This set with different seven sizes is a rare collection by Engelsson, Sweden made in the 1970/80s. Measures: Height lowest: 5 cm, to heighest 20.5 cm. In good condition, smaller signs of age and wear. Staffan Englesson started his business after making a bedside table for his wife. He started the business in the garage with a small-scale production of coffee tables. As his craftsmanship gained more attention, he began to manufacture larger pieces such as bookcases and tables, and eventually he switched completely from engineer to furniture maker. Englesson won the furniture supplier of the year award, chosen by the industry organization "Färg Möbler och Interiör". The jurys comment: "The company has distinguished itself for innovative thinking in the furniture industry and for good and long-term business relationships. The company has been manufacturing quality furniture for over 50 years with production in Djursholm, Stockholm.
