19th Century French Enamel Clock Set
About the Item
A wonderful quality late 19th century French Louis XVI style gilded ormolu and Champlevé enamel clock garniture, the clock having a two handled turquoise enamel urn with swags above the floral and ribbon decorated eight day duration hour and half hour chiming clock , again with wonderful enamel decoration, four out swept scrolling leaf supports, an enamel apron and mounted on a plinth base. The pair of classical urns either side, enamel tapering bodies, mounted with female masks with fruit beneath, scrolling supports and plinth bases.
