About the Item
A good English mahogany bracket clock with a very nice multi color decorated painted dial. Charming Moon phase. Date numbers of the month. Special hand for indicating the days of the week.
The lovely Floral Mahogany case with pagoda top nice bronze finals and ball feet’s. Nice engraved signature BROCKBANK LONDON on the backside of the movement.
John Brockbank started his apprenticeship in 1761 and became a member of the Clockmakers’ Company in 1769. He was established in London. In 1806 he began to work together with his brother under the name ‘Brockbanks’.
