Antique Ships Yacht Marine Heavy Bronze Bulkhead Wall Clock Fully Working
About the Item
A wonderful, heavy bronze ship or Yacht bulkhead clock. Originally nickel plated, this has worn to a lovely rich brown patina with speckled old plating and green verdigris. A heavy bronze flange holding the thick beveled glass in place with a watertight gasket. The dial has some slight marks. The original glass has some marks and scratches.
Originally an early electric movement by the Magneta clock company, this was damaged and mostly missing. Our clockmaker has skilfully fitted a modern quartz movement for ease and reliability, while retaining the beautiful original hands. A hanging bracket is fitted to the rear or the clock can be flange mounted as originally designed via three holes in the backplate. A unique timepiece for anywhere in your home. Measures: 8.5 inch in diameter.
