About the Item

The height of sophistication, this stunning ‘Verre Eglomise’ wall clock is made in the traditional Eglomise fashion where gilded leaf is applied to the reverse side of the glass face, then burnished to achieve a smooth and reflective surface. The face is then hand-painted with intricate patterns and classic Roman numerals. This elegant clock houses the (currently non-working) mechanisms by the early/mid-20th Century clock manufacturer, Haydon Manufacturing Co. of Connecticut.
