Life-Size 19th Century Carrara Marble Bust of a Roman

About the Item

A dynamic, life-sized marble bust of a Roman in a toga with a leopard’s head clasp, raised on a variegated grey socle. Mid-19th century. This impressive antique bust of an - as yet to be identified - Roman, is in good condition. Some tentative comparisons have been made to Caracalla, also known as Antoninus. Possibly a ''Grand Tour'' item.
