Antique Porcelain Sugarpot, Sugar Bowl, Stamped by Cortendorf, Germany

About the Item

Antique porcelain sugar pot by Cortendorf Manufacture, founded 1890 by Julius Griesbach senior in Coburg-Cortendorf, Germany. This lovely sugarbowl consists of a lid which is beautifully depicted as a cute dog, which sits on the bottom part as a basket. In the lid is a recess for a sugar spoon. On the bottom is the stamp " C Germany" for "Cortendorf". Since 1973, the porcelain factory was merged with the well-known company Goebel, which still produces high quality porcelain. Beautifully hand painted white porcelain. Germany, early 20th century.
