Quality Carved Small Black Forest Sculpture of an Alert Hunter with Rifle & Dog
About the Item
Beautiful quality and condition, early 20th century hunting sculpture.
This wonderful little Black Forest sculpture is the ideal gift for yourself or for a(nother) hunting and woodcarving enthousiast. This incredibly well balanced and excellent proportioned male hunter is clearly scanning the distance for prey. Judging from where his hands and fingers are on his rifle he must feel he is close to getting a chance soon. With his perfect hunting outfit, his four legged friend by his side, his binoculors around his neck and his rifle in his hands this sculpture paints a perfect picture of an early 20th century hunter in the Black Forest region. Apart from one minuscule chip to the rim of his hat this sculpture is in mint condition. This will also make a great desk piece and they sure don't make 'em like this anymore.
