About the Item

A collection of 6 natural, native copper specimens, each presented on an exclusive small wooden display base. Ex. private British collection, this group includes a range of superb specimens including cuprite from Wheal Phoenix mine in Cornwall, native copper from Michigan, USA and chalcocite from No. 16 level, Geevor Mine, Pendeen found in 1981. The chalcocite is a particular highlight of this collection, displaying fine micro crystals, making it a very rare find. This brilliant group of native specimens have been hand-selected from British collections to create a unique set, ideal for use as natural sculpture in an interior. Arranged in any formation, they make striking decorative pieces for a collector’s cabinet or sideboard, showcasing wondrous specimens of the natural world. Largest specimen, excl. base: H9 x W7.5 x D1 cm. Comes with 6 exclusive custom-made small wooden display plinths – ø8 x H 5.5 cm. Total weight of specimens, excl. bases: 985 g
