Large Unique Scottish Mike Hunter Merletto Glass Pear 2012

About the Item

A unique Mike Hunter Merletto Glass Pear dating to 2012. Merletto, meaning lace in Italian, is a technique in which very thin canes are used to create a very intricate and somewhat organic pattern in the finished piece by utilizing an optic mold or fin mold with lots of twisting and combining of all the canes. A skillful and laboor intensive task. Yellow and orange canes have been used by Mike to skillfully create this large hollow pear, A one-off unique piece made back in 2012. The base is signed M Hunter Twists 12.
