Very beautiful Italian object realized in silver with leafy handles and pods. The work is an original product from Italian design: Ricci & Co. Ricci Argentieri was born in 1927, in the Piedmontese city today considered the cradle of the Italian silversmith school. From the beginning, the objects produced by the Alessandria company stand out for the purity of the lines and the refinement of the details. The Alexandrian house was the first to adopt the complete processing cycle, from the casting of the raw material and from the rolling to the creation of the finished objects. We can date the object thanks to the stamp. The Legislative Decree of 26 October 1944 prescribed the elimination of the littorio bundle from the lozenge. In the impossibility of immediately disposing of the new brands for a certain period, the old punches were used, obliterating the fasces. In the period 1944-1946 other unofficial marks are also used provisionally.
This object is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any object in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist, designer or craftsman who has died requires a license for export regardless of the work’s market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the license according to the final destination of the object.
