Japanese Champleve Cache pot
About the Item
Japanese champleve cache pot, the rim has a repetitive pattern of vertical brass with a mixture of colors (red, white, green and blue) alternating with a turquoise running below it. The main wide enamel section in the middle also features these colors along with a lighter blue and black. There are multiple shapes and designs but most noteworthy are what appear to be two white stylized animal figures facing each other. Below this are three stamped patterns of brass; the rim at the bottom is plain polished brass. There is a square stamped mark of unknown meaning underneath. The opening diameter is 7.75'' wide
