Contemporary Blue White Porcelain Vase by Japanese Master Artist

About the Item

The artist is second-to-none in creating extremely complicated geometric patterns by applying the most sophisticated and demanding techniques of miniature painting to the complex and curved surfaces of porcelain pieces. This vase showcases two of his signature geometric diamond patterns intricately hand painted in deep underglaze blue. The patterns are brought together to form a fascinating design that is a testimony to his artistry and commitment to preserving traditional Imari-Arita styles. The geometric progression is carefully calibrated to create a kaleidoscopic effect as it continues from the center to the neck and the base. The extremely intricate miniature diamond pattern around the neck of the vase and the pattern decorating the base of the vase add to the charm and accentuate the stunning effect of the vase. This Japanese decorative hand painted porcelain vase in blue underglaze is a signed work byan award-winning master artist and the younger of a two-brother team of master porcelain artists working in the historic Imari-Arita region of southern Japan. This vase comes in a custom made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: H 9.5 in, D 8.5 in.
