This meticulously crafted glazed ceramic vase is skillfully handcrafted by James Hicks. The design features a sleek modern rectangle hollow brick form with openings inspired by the architectural elements of Louis Kahn's iconic buildings for the Bangladesh Parliament. This unique piece stands out for its exquisite hand-crafted construction, thoughtful design, and exceptional quality. Hicks, an accomplished architect, exhibition designer, and artist created this vase as part of a series exploring variations of the modern rectangle hollow brick concept. Each vase is individually slip-cast, meticulously hand-cut and carved, fired, glazed, and then fired again, showcasing the artist's dedication to detail and craftsmanship.
