Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Goblet by Joseph & Albert Savory
About the Item
An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware.
This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular Campania shaped form onto a knopped stem and domed circular foot.
The body of this antique silver goblet is embellished with exceptional chased rose and thistle designs amidst foliage.
The decoration to the body incorporates a leaf bordered vacant cartouche.
The drinking vessel surmounts a plain swept knopped cylindrical pedestal.
The foot is embellished with further chased foliage ornamentation accented with an opposing scrolling border to the incurved collet style rim.
Condition
This antique silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The chased decoration is all very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the goblet are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
