Vintage Italian Majolica Porcelain Pig-Form Soup Tureen with Lid and Ladle

About the Item

Decorate a dining table with this cheerful Majolica centerpiece. Crafted in Italy circa 1980, the decorative tureen is shaped as a pig resting, his mouth opened holding a lemon. The removable lid, embellished with leaf and lemon decor; when opens, it reveals an inside ladle decorated with an elegant asparagus form handle. The vintage ceramic dish is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns soft colors in the light green and yellow palette on a white background. Stamped "Costa, made in Italy" on the underside. Measures: 18" W x 7" D x 7.5" H.
