About the Item
Berndt Friberg, Stoneware Bowl with pale blue and black haresfur glaze, Gustavsberg, Sweden 1962 Impressed "Friberg" "G (hand) " Incised "d"
The entire piece is covered with a light indigo glaze, which is then covered with a double layer of brown glazed, which appears almost black, blending with each other and flowing beautifully throughout the entire piece.
The outside has a black glaze with a blue glaze running around the base. The inside of the bowl is glazed with a blue and black brown glaze that flows into the bottom of the bowl. The glaze has a fine, fine hairline and flows down nicely from the mouth rim to the base.
The shape of this Friberg's standard bowl is a shallow, circular rim that has been twisted by hand to form a soft rectangle when viewed from above, and when viewed from the side, the rim has a unique undulation.
The thin rim and delicate appearance of this Friberg bowl is a work that allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of Friberg's work.
