Clarice Cliff Water Lily Porcelain Dish and Platter Newport Pottery

About the Item

An Art Deco serving dish and plate from Clarice Cliff's Water Lily collection for Newport Pottery in England This beautiful serving plate and shallow dish will help you discover the whimsical charm of Clarice Cliff's beloved porcelain. Crafted in soft, glazed buttermilk-toned porcelain, each piece is gently reeded, which is reminiscent of gentle ripples of water undulating in a pond on a summer day. Both are beautifully embellished on each side with a delicate water lily motif in shades of earthy brown and green and suitably contrasted with pink flowers. This set is a testament to the unique creativity of Clarice Cliff and the exceptional craftsmanship and quality of Newport Pottery. While originally designed for serving food, the sheer beauty and intricate design of these pieces make them perfect for display. Each plate is numbered, with the long serving platter numbered 982. And the shallow dish numbered as 102A Perfect for the collector of Cliff’s work, or perhaps the host, looking to embellish the dining table.
