Goldscheider Vienna Ceramic Sitting Lady With Two Terriers by Josef Lorenzl 1930

Excellent Goldscheider Figure Group of the 1930s: Young lady in rosé pantsuit with brunette short haircut sitting on a large stool with low back support, embracing with both hands two terrier dogs that nestle on her left and right leg and lovingly looking down at the animal on her left side, which has rested its head on her thigh. On cream square base with rounded front, artist's signature 'Lorenzl' on the back of the backrest. Designed by Josef LORENZL (1892 - 1950), was an Austrian sculptor and ceramic modeler. His bronze statuettes often show graceful dancers with long legs and closed eyes. Lorenzl designed numerous ceramics for Friedrich Goldscheider and Keramos and was one of the most popular artists of Art Deco. Model 6154 was created circa 1930.
