About the Item

Very rare Goldscheider Vienna Ceramic Figurine of the 1930s: Representation of a young lady in a brown, Japanese silk coat over light, baggy trousers, hair pinned up with floral decoration, standing upright and holding a large fan in both hands in front of her, floral decoration at her feet. On a cream-coloured, domed round base with a wavy relief band with black contour, the artist's signature 'Lorenzl' on the top of the base behind the figure. Designed by Josef LORENZL (1892 - 1950), one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory in the period of 1920 - 1940. This Model 6356 was created circa 1931.
