The white lobed dish is composed of twenty-seven double lobes around a curved centre. A blue cross is painted on the inside of the foot ring.
For more than half a century unpainted white lobed dishes enjoyed a great popularity. The many archaeological finds in the Netherlands and the numerous images of lobed dishes in Dutch paintings from the seventeenth century bear witness to this.
