Innovative design and technique by pioneering Heaton. In 1947, Heaton invented a process of fusing crystals of enamel to glass surfaces, allowing for rich experimentation for glass-enameled ornament. His prolific work continued into the 1960s, with increasing applied and internal colors, pre-dating Higgins Glass.
