James Powell Art Nouveau Green Glass Bud Shaped Vase
About the Item
An absolutely stunning Arts & Crafts bud shaped art glass vase attributed to renowned glass maker Harry James Powell (British, 1853 - 1922) and dating from around 1900. The vase hand blown in a green tinted glass stands on a wide round foot rim with a narrow stem and bud shaped body with a pinched neck and wide round trumpet shape rim. The vase is of exceptional quality and an iconic design of its period and is not marked with a polished off pontil mark to the base.
Provenance: Acquired from a private collection and recorded as by Harry James Powell.
In good condition with wear associated with age and use with wear consistent to age to the foot. With a few natural making inclusions to the body.
