Maria Philippi (1927-2004) was a renowned German ceramist of the 20th Century, whose work remains highly sought-after today. Philippi worked with Søholm from 1962-1964, before setting out to establish her own studio at Merzhausen Freiberg. During her time at Søholm, she designed several highly sought-after collections, including the "Granit" and "Nordlys" series (the latter inspired by the Northern Lights).
