Antique George V English Sterling Silver Fruit Dish
About the Item
A fine antique George V English sterling silver fruit dish; part of our sterling silver collection.
This antique George V sterling silver fruit dish has a plain rounded oval form onto an oval spreading foot.
The surface of this antique dish is embellished with bright cut engraved husk swag decoration suspended from ribbon designs and incorporating four husk bordered cartouches.
Two of the cartouche display an oval floral medallion; the other two remain vacant.
The rim of this antique fruit dish is ornamented with an applied spindle and bead decorated border.
Condition
This George V fruit dish is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The dish has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the dish are all very clear.
