Empire Set of Four French Sterling Silver '.950' Footed Open Salt Cellars-Venner

About the Item

Set of four Empire, sterling silver (.950), footed open salt cellars with matching spoons and liners, Paris, circa 1900, Isabelle Venner, maker. Each salt cellar is gilded on the insider (as are the bowls of each of the matching salt spoons) and has its original, fitted, glass liner. Each salt cellar measures 2 1/2 inches wide x over 1 3/4 inches deep x 1 1/2 inches high; each salt spoon measures 2 3/4 inches long x 3/4 inches deep (at bowl of spoon diameter). Cartouches are vacant on all pieces. There is a total of eight pieces in the set, four salt cellars and four matching salt spoons. Dark spots in photos are reflections. Excellent condition.
