Pair of Small Silver Garrard Trophy Cups for the Champion Diary Herd

About the Item

A very fine quality pair of silver Trophy Cups with lids and scrolled handles presented by the Royal Counties Agricultural Society. Each engraved "Replica of The King George VI Challenge Cup For THe Champion Dairy Herd Presented by Queen Elizabeth II" and one with the extra inscription: "Won By Leslie Langmead Limited, 1962", the other blank but almost certainly presented to the same farmer the following year. Made by GARRARD, London 1958 and 1959. One base slightly taller and with inset Garrard plaque. Cups weigh 332 grams and 367 grams and are 15cms tall, including lids, by 13.5 wide. 82mm diameter. Bases are 10.5cms diameter. One is 52 high, other is 46 high.
