Tiffany & Co., sterling silver flatware set from the 1920's in Faneuil pattern and Art Deco style, with a beautiful geometric design, consisting of 91pieces: - 6 salad forks measuring 6 3/4'' in length - 10 luncheon forks measuring 7'' in length - 14 luncheon knives measuring 9 1/8'' in length - 8 Fish knives measuring 9 1/8'' in length 8 flat butter spreaders measuring 5 3/4'' in length - 14 soup spoons measuring 7'' in length - 14 dessert spoons measuring 7'' in length - 3 serving spoons measuring 7'' in length - 2 Ladels measuring 5 3/4'' in length 1 Sugar Sifter measuring 5 3/4'' in length - 1 Gold wash Caserole Spoon measuring '' in length 1 Vegetable Spoon measuring 8`'' in length - Total approximate weight (including 0.5 oz per knife) is 6300 Grams. 202 ounces. Each piece bears hallmarks as shown. All non monogrammed. The legendary Tiffany brand was founded in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young in Connecticut as a "stationery and fancy goods emporium," with the help of Charles Tiffany's father who financed the store for only $1,000 with profits from a cotton mill. Tiffany & Co. soon became a highly regarded brand for jewellery, gemstones, and silver. In 1845, Tiffany was a pioneer when it launched the Blue Book, which at the time was the first mail-order catalogue to be distributed in the US. In 1878, Tiffany won the gold medal for jewellery and a grand prize for silverware at the Paris World Fair Exposition. The luxury brand’s enduring legacy remains vibrant to this day. Read Less
