Celadon Green Earthenware Bowl & Plates, Nittsjö, Sweden, 1960s

About the Item

This collection comprises an elegant ensemble from Nittsjö, featuring exquisite celadon green dishes with a classic structure. Each element, from the grandeur of the large bowl to the delicate plates, reflects the meticulous craftsmanship that has become synonymous with Nittsjö. Among the items are a single large bowl standing at a height of 6.7 cm with a generous diameter of 28 cm. Complementing this centerpiece are six plates, each measuring 0.8 cm in height and 17.5 cm in diameter. Their modest dimensions make them perfect for serving appetizers, desserts, or as part of a charming display. The authenticity of these Nittsjö pieces is confirmed by the presence of original stickers, carefully preserved to attest to their origin. Marked with the inscription "745A NM, NS, Sweden" beneath the plates, these items bear the distinctive signature of their craftsmanship. The design is attributed to the talented artist Jerk Werkmäster. Whether as a functional dining set or a decorative display, these pieces showcase both the timeless craftsmanship of Nittsjö and the artistic finesse of their esteemed designer.
