About the Item
A rather special and intricately carved large, heavy TOTEM sculpture/ pole featuring a wide range of wild jungle animals - birds, snakes, wild boar, frogs, monkeys, lions, reptiles, etc. We have not seen another quite like it. Perhaps Native American or Pacific Northwest Coast from the upper United States or Canada.
The work is signed and dated ("92" We are assuming 1992 but could be 1892) by the artist at the base - clearly a master carver though we have been unable to discern the exact carver.
A unique and one-of-a-kind work. Would be a great addition to any wood carving or TOTEM collection or very eye-catching stand-alone work in about any setting.

- Condition:In good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use (please see photos). Pieces of eagle's talon and side of butterfly wing broken but we appear to still have all the pieces which should be able to be placed back on. Great overall.
