This exquisitely elegant cocoon chandelier attributed to Friedel Wauer for the Goldkant Leuchten in Germany during the 1970s showcases a very particular shape.
Goldkant Leuchten emerged in the wake of World War II, founded in 1946 under the name Cocoon-Leuchten International. The visionary Fritz “Friedel” Wauer, attributed by FLOS for pioneering the groundbreaking technique of material application onto iron frames, drew inspiration from the natural “self-wrapping” process of a silk worm. Hence, the name “cocoon” was born.
This splendid chandelier features a single light socket (E27) and has been professionally inspected and adapted by an electrician to operate seamlessly in the US, UK, and EU.
