Early 20th Century French Eight–Light Crystal Glass and Brass Chandelier

About the Item

A stunning Louis XVI-style chandelier made of crystal glass and brass in France circa the 1900s. Originally crafted for 8 candles, this antique chandelier has been electrified. Eight brass arms with flower-shaped brass and glass bobeches, each with a socket for an E 14 size light bulb. The central stem is covered by a succession of blown glass ornaments in the shape of vases and balusters and is finished by a pendant crystal ball. Decorated with multi-faceted crystal glass pendeloques, and small glass flower rosettes. Two tiers are decorated with amber color pendeloques and the sparkles of the light playing through the two-color crystal prisms create a captivating ambiance. Dimensions: diameter: 60 cm / 23.62 in; height: 104 cm / 40,94 in. The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
