Large Louis Kalff 'Starry Sky' Pendant

Very large pendant with etched glass shade.
The central black enameled concave dish is perforated, hence "Starry Sky".
Equipped with three-light sockets, this lamp is capable of lighting a sizable room.
Working in the same era as Gino Sarfatti, Gio Ponti and Angelo Lelli, Louis Kalff's designs capture that mid century modern feeling with a slightly more Northern European sobriety.
Marked with a Phillips label on the inside.
