Siemens pendant light, Peter Behrens, Germany, 1920's
About the Item
Considered the father of industrial design, “the prestige of Peter Behrens is assessed by the quality of his disciples”. Indeed Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe and Walter Gropius all three visited his workshops to perfect their architectural technique, just that!
This large "Luzette" model in galvanized and opaline copper is a superb creation from the 1920s with minimalist lines.
