Ceiba Lamp

About the Item

The Ceiba lamp is a clay lamp handmade by artisans from Yucatan and designed by Chuch Estudio. The large scale clay as an ancestral tradition allowed the production of these contemporary pieces. Oxides and natural minerals gave color to the piece. A significant green tone from the tree trunk. The ceiba is a very popular tree in southern Mexico considered by the Mayans as a sacred tree and the tree of life. This lamp is more than a utilitarian object, it represents distinctive characteristics linked to Mexican culture and tradition.
