Georgia Jacob Rare 'Fruit D'ange' Lamp, 1970s

About the Item

Very beautiful and rare 'Fruit D'ange' lamp, as the French call it. A classic example of French design. The base is made of ceramic and resembles an antique column with a fruit bowl. On top is a beautiful draped lamp made of acrylic-covered fabric that seems to go against gravity. Design by the famous French designer Georgia Jacob, known for her elegantly draped lamps that spread a beautiful soft light. With many people becoming environmentally conscious, buying vintage furniture is all the rage right now. Promoting responsible environmental behavior in a home has long surpassed discussions of chemicals and food and now uses objects, materials and paints. As the industry explores various manufacturing technologies and promotes recycling, the growing popularity of vintage furniture and decor among the millennial generation is illuminating the road ahead.
