French Mid-19th Century Louis XVI Ormolu
About the Item
An elegant pair of French mid-19th century Louis XVI ormolu sconces. Each backplate has an urn of prosperity above a draped ribbon. Below is a recessed reeded design above a double acanthus leave with a bottom final. The two electrified ‘S’ scrolled arms have fluted candlecups and saucer. All original gilt.
