Huge Sconce in Metal and Plexiglass, Germany - 1950

H 75 cm W 40 cm D 15 cm Material: painted sheet steel, brass, reflector profiled plexiglass, fluorescent tubes Condition: good original condition Special features: few signs of use. This imposing, monumental wall light from the 1950s is fully functional. Very well preserved, hardly any damage. There are 3 fluorescent tubes installed. About this object: The profiled Plexiglas reflector of this decorative wall light is curved upwards like a shield. Fastened to the substructure with many brass screws, the reflector curves upwards, with shades made of the same Plexiglas material positioned on the inside to achieve an equal, glare-free diffusion of the light sources. This unusual, decorative wall light was manufactured to a high standard in the 1950s.
