About the Item

Cool pair of minimalistic "cubus" wall sconces in opaline glass and black bakelite made at Louis Poulsen & Co., Copenhagen in the 1960s. The design is typical for the Scandinavian Modernism with references to the Bauhaus School. Founded in 1874, Louis Poulsen is a Danish lighting manufacturer born out of the Scandinavian design tradition where form follows function. LP is best known for their collaboration with Poul Henningsen on the PH-lamps. Both lamps marked with "LP" logo on the inside.
