Pair of Italian Brass Sconces
About the Item
A pair of 1960’s brass wall sconces by Tobias Fraum. Created through the marriage of laquered metal base and brass folded sheet, it follows a tipical mid-century metal processing technique: calendering, a metal bending technique often used to create a “shade” for lamps. It was used in many furniture designs of the 50s and 60s in Europe, such as the famous Foglia sconces by Tobia e Afra Scarpa.
