Turn of the 20th Century French Wrought Iron and Brass Sconces
About the Item
Turn of the 20th Century wrought iron and brass sconces. Cast iron backplate in a Victorian style. Iron arms with iron decorations. Decorated brass candle up provides a contrasting pop. A single arm splits into two and curves up and then down to hold the lights. French, C. 1890.
Condition: In very good condition, metals have been cleaned, and brass has been polished. Rewired with new sockets, US 110-120 V hardwired. Three hole backplate typical of European fixtures of the time. Can be mounted on top of an American style backplate or on a flat cover for an electrical box.
