Wonderful Moorish style Frederick Cooper hammered copper urn or jug shaped double handled lamp with a black coolie shade. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The exterior of the shade was showing some wear so we have given it a new coat of black matt paint it still may have some small imperfections. Very uncommon 1950s Hollywood Regency hammered copper & brass tall table lamp custom made exclusively by Hans Grag for Gump’s of San Francisco. Skillfully hand-shaped and hammered copper half-dome cap and gracefully worked copper (or copper-toned brass) staves with brass rod spacers combine to convey a supremely elegant and perfectly-proportioned botanical aesthetic. Very subtle variances in tone and texture provide an added level of sophistication to the nicely muted finish. Hans Grag signature and "Gump’s" stamped into side of base.
