Customizable Hand-Painted Ceramic "Random Openings" Lamp by James Hicks
About the Item
The"Random Openings" table lamp features a sleek rectangular base, slip-cast in stoneware, with six linear rectangular openings strategically placed to allow dimmable LED light to illuminate the surrounding space. The faces of the base are adorned with hand-painted lines in a strategy to allow the hand-made variations of the painted line to be amplified from line to line.
The shown prototype showcases black underglaze, iron oxide, and gray slip, though additional custom options are available (optionally any cover underglaze, oxide or slip can be used for the painting). The base shown in the photos is glazed with a slightly translucent clear glaze with a matte finish; optionally, the glaze can be a glossy or matte clear glaze or even left under-glazed (which can be very nice). It comes equipped with hardware and wiring for an E26 bulb, available in nickel or brass finish.
