Moon rock style table lamp made from fiberglass, France 1970s

About the Item

Space age table lamp. In the style of the moon rock lamp series by Andre Cazenave. The globe is made from fiberglass with ground mineral powder giving it a moon like appearance in both the off and on situation. The lamp emits a stunning warm and soothing light when turned on. The shade is placed on a concrete three tiered base. It holds one standard e27 socket. Intended for 240volts use but also suitable to be used with a 110volts bulb. The globe measures about 40cm in diameter. It is not perfectly spherical because it is handmade. Although the base is made from concrete it is not very heavy.
