Black Doggy Lamp by Wan Wan Wonderland (Tokyo, Japan) Delightful and whimsical table lamp with white pleated shades and expertly hand-crafted black wooden base. Each lamp is hand crafted by WAN(of WAN WAN WONDERLAND), an artist and dog lover, at her woodworking atelier in Tokyo, Japan. The stylized wooden bases are assembled with a combination of different hardwoods such as cherry, ash, and oak. The head of the dog on each lamp is designed to pivot for extra cuteness. This one looks like a Scottie / Scottish Terrier. This adorable lamp is sure to make a warm and playful addition to any living room, study / library or bedroom, and would also work well in kids' rooms as well. Lamp are assembled with brass hardware and wired with a black cord with an in-line switch. White pleated lamp shade included. Wooden base is painted black and lacquered. WAN: My father is an architect, so I wanted to become a person who makes things since I was a child. I also do furniture repair, and old furniture designs I've repaired are a big source of inspiration. I recently realized that incorporating a dog into my design brings out the best in me, because I love dogs. The dogs I pass by on the street and my pet dog TEN, are very important to my work.
